Level III Residential Facility Services

Level III Residential Facility Services

Residential Treatment Level III services are designed for individuals who need a higher level of therapeutic care and supervision in a secure residential setting. This level of care provides intensive, hands-on treatment delivered by trained staff and supported by licensed professionals such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and medical providers.

Care is provided in a staff-secure environment with continuous supervision. Staff members remain awake and available at all times, including overnight, to ensure safety, stability, and immediate response to behavioral needs.

This level of service includes all elements of Family/Program Residential Treatment and adds enhanced structure, supervision, and therapeutic support. Daily living is carefully planned and monitored to reduce unsafe behaviors, address functional challenges, and maintain a safe environment for all residents. Crisis support is available as needed and may include frequent intervention to help individuals regain control and function safely.

Treatment focuses on helping individuals identify and change unhealthy or disruptive behavior patterns. Staff actively support residents in unlearning maladaptive behaviors while teaching healthier coping strategies and life skills. Therapeutic interactions are intentionally structured to help residents improve communication, relationships, and emotional regulation, even during moments of high stress or frustration.

Staff members are trained to maintain calm, supportive, and respectful relationships, particularly in situations that may involve anger, resistance, or challenging interpersonal behaviors. The goal is to help individuals build trust, tolerate discomfort related to change, and maintain progress over time.

Services are delivered within a highly structured program setting. Staff are present and accessible at all times, with a minimum staffing ratio maintained to ensure close supervision and individualized attention. The therapeutic environment is designed to remain supportive and consistent, even in response to frequent or intense behavioral challenges, including verbal or limited physical aggression.

Level III Residential Treatment also includes specialized, on-site therapeutic services provided by qualified professionals. These services support intensive skill development, behavioral stabilization, and long-term progress toward healthier functioning within the community.
